That’s why we have ensured that a free Wi-Fi network is available throughout the campsite, despite the many trees and changes in elevation.
Please note, however, that the campsite Wi-Fi is intended for general use and does not offer the same performance as a home internet connection.

We ensure that your bread rolls are delivered to your pitch in the morning. This is the perfect start to a completely relaxing day, allowing you to begin your day calmly and at ease.

The restaurant offers seating for approximately 30 guests indoors as well as 30 seats on the terrace and is well suited for small groups.

Dog-friendly
Dogs are very welcome here! Walking, playing, and cooling off – your dog can truly feel at home with us. There is also a practical dog shower available for a thorough clean after walks.
Of course, we expect all dogs to be well behaved so that all guests can enjoy their holiday.

What we offer
Environment
The environment is important to us. That is why we are committed to sustainability and make a conscious effort to use resources responsibly. At our campsite, we have implemented various measures to minimize our impact on nature and to preserve it for the long term.
We are also a partner of the National Park Harz and support the protection of nature in our region.
Animals
Many wild animals live on and around the campsite. For example, our campers are regularly visited by foxes and deer walk past the edge of the campsite. Every day we see several squirrels and a variety of birds.
We try to help the insects on the campsite, among other things by putting up insect houses. We also don’t mow some parts of the campsite and leave deadwood in some places. Because dead wood is an important food source and habitat for numerous fungi, insects and microorganisms.
Bees
We have several bee colonies on our campsite. Beekeeping is a wonderful and sustainable activity that we are proud to practise at Camping Braunlage.
Our own bees produce delicious honey and we also make candles from real beeswax. Through these activities, we actively contribute to environmental protection, as bees play a crucial role in the pollination of plants, which contributes to the preservation of biodiversity.
Mülltrennung
At our campsite we try to separate waste as much as possible and we encourage our guests to do the same. Because the waste separation ensures that the waste can be better recycled.
Electricity & gas
In order to reduce our electricity and gas consumption, the lighting on the campsite is limited to the essentials. A limited number of lampposts are illuminated at night and the lighting in the sanitary building is controlled by a motion detector. In addition, we have replaced all lamps with LED lights.
In the future we would like to install solar panels on the campsite to generate our own energy.
Water
At our campsite we have our own water source and therefore try to save as much water as possible. We do that, for example in the sanitary building, by using waterless urinals. Wherever possible, we also use rainwater to water the plants on the campsite.
Trees
Over the past few years, we have planted numerous new trees on our campsite and intend to continue this path consistently in the future. In doing so, we contribute to reforestation and the long-term development of our grounds.
It is wonderful to observe how nature gradually recovers step by step. Young trees take root, new plants begin to grow, and little by little a diverse and vibrant environment develops again. This process takes time – which makes us appreciate every patch of green that grows and makes our campsite even more natural and pleasant.
